We set off early and made a few wrong turns interpreting the map from Trollsteigen back to the coast. Two ferries and some driving later we arrived on the Atlantic Coast Road. There was so much to see but it was nearing the end of the day and we needed to find somewhere to stop that was out of the wind.
We decided to take a chance on a place we found on the map in Lysø, which was among a rocky outcrop with some protection from the wind. We didn’t’ expect some inspiring meadows (pictured).
Night was cold and wet. Morning we headed towards civilization in Kristiansund – a port town where we holed up in a hotel for a few nights to reorganize the van clean clothes at a launderette and plan the next leg of our journey.
